But it wasn't just the headline-grabbing failures that troubled us. Every day, we saw friends and colleagues struggle with platforms that were confusing to use, opaque about their fees, and frustratingly slow when it came to customer support. We saw people who were curious about cryptocurrency give up because the barriers to entry felt too high.
We asked ourselves a simple question: why does it have to be this way?

Our founding team met through years of working in fintech, compliance, and software development across Europe. We had seen the best and worst of financial services. We understood what it took to build systems that were both powerful and trustworthy.
The conversation that sparked WeChange happened over coffee in Prague. We were discussing the FTX collapse, and someone said:
"People don't need another exchange. They need one they can actually trust."
